Kaitaa in brief

Kaitaa is an area in south-west Espoo with a population of about 3,500, expected to grow to 10,000 by 2030. In Kaitaa, you can still find untouched nature with its wildlife so this area is for outdoor-active people.

The cohesive structure of the Kaitaa centre is formed by low-rise apartment buildings built in the 1960s, in addition to a small shopping centre. A unique attraction Hannusjärvi lake is close to the town centre and an unbuilt forest area, Hannusmetsä, surrounds the lake.

By the sea shore, at the southern end of Kaitaa is Museum Villa Rulludd with a café and a private catering service. The Costal Greenway runs nearby.

Kaitaa metro station is under construction, to be operational in autumn 2020.
